Voting & You: A Voter's Guide

With the November general election just around the corner, we decided to create a voting guide to help CIIS students, staff, and faculty get the resources they need to be informed voters. Included is information about how to register to vote, how to make a voting plan, and ways to get involved - including becoming a poll worker!

It's clear our community understands the importance of voting - since we posted it on October 2nd, the guide has received 260 views! A record for our library!

Remember to make your voice heard on Nov. 3rd!

Online Archive of California

One of our long-term goals at the C.G. Jung Institute Archive was to become a contributing member of the Online Archive of California, the central online repository for archival finding aids in California.

In September of 2015, we accomplished this goal and became one of just a few institutions within OAC documenting the history of Carl Jung and Jungian theory in the United States.

A Digital Presence for our Archive

After processing our first few collections, we decided we wanted to have an online face for the archive. Our goals were to create a centralized place where visitors could view snapshots of our collections, read about our vision and history, browse commonly asked questions, and contact us directly. Each collection page features a link to a finding aid and a selection of digitized images/documents from the collection.

We are the first C.G. Jung Institute in the United States to establish and maintain a formal archive, and we are thrilled to share our materials via the world wide web!

Life Sciences Foundation Publications

After graduting from Berkeley, I started working as a historical researcher and writer at the Life Sciences Foundation in San Francisco. Our mission was to collect and write the history of biotechnology, and we did this by conducting oral history interviews, crafting an educational website with an interactive timeline, and producing a quarterly magazine.

I was a senior member of the oral history team, authored and edited entries for the magazine and website timeline, and managed their social media profiles.

One of my last projects with LSF involved co-authoring a privately published book entitled "Honoring 25 Years of Biotech Leadership: The Biotech Hall of Fame Awards" (2012). I've included a few samples of my work here.
